Terms of Service

Effective Date: January 17, 2026

1. Introduction

Welcome to MyCasesHub, operated by Owlab ("we," "us," or "our"). These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of our website, community platform, and services (collectively, the "Service"). By accessing or using our Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

By using the Service, you represent and warrant that you (a) are at least 18 years old or the age of majority in your jurisdiction, and (b) have the legal capacity to enter into a binding contract with us. If you are using the Service on behalf of an organization, you represent that you have authority to bind that organization to these Terms.

The Service is intended for a global audience. Regardless of where you are located, you agree that your use of the Service is subject to these Terms and to the applicable laws of your country of residence. In the event of any conflict between these Terms and mandatory consumer protection laws of your country, the mandatory laws of your country shall prevail to the extent of the conflict.

2. Use of Our Service

You agree to use our Service only for lawful purposes and in a way that does not infringe the rights of, restrict, or inhibit anyone else's use and enjoyment of the Service. You must not misuse our Service by knowingly introducing viruses or other material that is malicious or technologically harmful.

You also agree that you will not:

  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to our systems, user accounts, or data.
  • Reverse engineer, decompile, or otherwise attempt to derive the source code of any part of the Service, except where permitted by applicable law.
  • Use automated tools (such as bots, crawlers, scrapers, or scripts) to access the Service, including but not limited to:
    • Automated case lookups or bulk data retrieval;
    • Programmatic access to our website or API endpoints without explicit written authorization;
    • Any method designed to circumvent rate limiting or access controls.
  • Access the Service through any unauthorized API, third-party application, or programmatic interface. MyCasesHub does not provide public API access, and any unauthorized API usage is strictly prohibited.
  • Use the Service in violation of any applicable local, state, national, or international law or regulation, including but not limited to data protection and export control laws.

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activities that occur under your account. You must promptly notify us if you become aware of any unauthorized access to or use of your account.

3. Community Guidelines

When participating in our community platform, you agree to:

  • Be respectful: Treat all community members with respect and courtesy.
  • Stay on topic: Keep discussions relevant to immigration, case tracking, and related topics.
  • No spam or self-promotion: Avoid excessive self-promotion, spam, or irrelevant content.
  • Protect privacy: Do not share personal information of others without consent.
  • No harmful content: Prohibited content includes harassment, hate speech, illegal activities, or content that could harm others.
  • Accurate information: Strive to share accurate information and clearly identify opinions vs. facts.

We may, in our sole discretion, set additional community rules or policies which will be considered part of these Terms. Your continued use of the community constitutes acceptance of such rules or policies.

4. User Content

You retain ownership of the content you post in our community. However, by posting content, you grant MyCasesHub a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free, sublicensable license to use, reproduce, modify, adapt, publish, translate, create derivative works from, distribute, and display your content within the Service and in connection with operating and improving the Service.

You are responsible for ensuring that your content does not violate any laws or third-party rights, including intellectual property, privacy, and publicity rights. You represent and warrant that you have all necessary rights, licenses, and permissions to post the content you submit.

5. Moderation and Enforcement

We reserve the right, but are not obligated, to monitor, moderate, edit, or remove community content that violates these Terms or our Community Guidelines or that we otherwise consider inappropriate. We may also suspend or terminate user accounts for repeated violations or for any conduct that we reasonably believe harms other users, us, or the integrity of the Service.

Our moderation decisions are final, but you may contact us to appeal or request clarification. We do not assume any liability arising from our moderation activities or from failure to moderate any particular content.

Automated Access and API Violations: Unauthorized use of automated tools, bots, or API access will result in immediate enforcement actions, which may include, but are not limited to:

  • Immediate implementation of rate limiting or access restrictions;
  • Temporary or permanent suspension of your account;
  • Termination of any active subscription without refund;
  • Blocking of associated IP addresses or devices;
  • Pursuit of legal remedies for damages caused by such violations.

We reserve the right to take these actions without prior notice when we detect activity patterns consistent with automated or unauthorized access.

6. Disclaimers

The information provided by MyCasesHub is for general informational purposes only. All information on the site is provided in good faith, however, we make no representation or warranty of any kind, express or implied, regarding the accuracy, adequacy, validity, reliability, availability, or completeness of any information on the site.

  • No Legal Advice: MyCasesHub is not a law firm and does not provide legal advice. The information provided on our Service, including community discussions, is not a substitute for professional legal advice from a qualified attorney. You should always consult with a licensed attorney for advice specific to your situation.
  • No Government Affiliation: MyCasesHub is a privately operated service and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS), the U.S. Department of Homeland Security, or any other government agency.
  • Data Accuracy: The case status information displayed on our Service is retrieved from the official U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) website or other publicly available sources. We do not control and are not responsible for any delays, errors, or inaccuracies in the data provided by USCIS or other third parties.
  • Community Content: User-generated content in our community reflects the opinions and experiences of individual users, not MyCasesHub. We do not endorse or verify the accuracy of community contributions and are not responsible for any reliance you place on such content.
  • External Links: The Service may contain links to third-party websites or services. We have no control over, and assume no responsibility for, the content, privacy policies, or practices of any third-party sites or services. Accessing any third-party websites is at your own risk.

7. Intellectual Property

The Service and its original content, features, and functionality are and will remain the exclusive property of Owlab (operating as MyCasesHub) and its licensors. This includes, without limitation, all software, text, graphics, logos, and trademarks displayed on or provided through the Service.

You may not copy, modify, distribute, sell, or lease any part of our Service or included software, nor may you reverse engineer or attempt to extract the source code of that software, unless laws prohibit those restrictions or you have our written permission.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, in no event shall Owlab (operating as MyCasesHub), its affiliates, directors, employees, partners, or licensors be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of profits, data, goodwill, or other intangible losses, resulting from:

  • Your access to or use of or inability to access or use the Service;
  • Any conduct or content of any third party on the Service, including community interactions or user-generated content;
  • Any content obtained from the Service; and
  • Unauthorized access, use, or alteration of your transmissions or content.

Our total aggregate liability to you for all claims arising out of or related to the Service or these Terms shall not exceed the greater of (a) the amount you paid to us for the Service in the twelve (12) months immediately preceding the event giving rise to the claim, or (b) USD $50.

Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion or limitation of liability for certain types of damages, so the above limitations may not fully apply to you. In such cases, our liability will be limited to the fullest extent permitted by applicable law.

9. Subscription and Billing

MyCasesHub offers optional premium subscription plans that provide access to advanced features and functionality. By subscribing to a premium plan, you agree to the following:

  • Payment: Subscription fees are billed in advance on a recurring basis (monthly or annually, depending on your selected plan). You authorize us and our payment partner, Paddle, to charge your selected payment method for all applicable fees.
  • Taxes: Prices displayed may or may not include applicable taxes (such as sales tax, GST, or VAT), depending on your location. Where required by law, taxes will be calculated and added at checkout by our payment partner, Paddle, acting as merchant of record. You are responsible for any such taxes associated with your purchase.
  • Auto-Renewal: Your subscription will automatically renew at the end of each billing period unless you cancel before the renewal date. By not canceling before renewal, you authorize continued billing for the next period.
  • Cancellation: You may cancel your subscription at any time through your account settings. Cancellation will take effect at the end of the current billing period, and you will retain access to premium features until that time. We do not provide pro-rated refunds for unused portions of a billing period, except where required by applicable law or by our Refund Policy in Section 10.
  • Payment Processing: All payments are processed securely through our payment partner, Paddle. By subscribing, you also agree to Paddle's Terms of Service and Buyer Terms. Paddle acts as the merchant of record for transactions, and you may see Paddle listed as the merchant on your payment statement.
  • Currency and Exchange Rates: Charges may be processed in U.S. dollars (USD) or another supported currency. If your payment method is in a different currency, your bank or payment provider may apply currency conversion rates and additional fees. We are not responsible for any currency conversion or foreign transaction fees charged by your bank or payment provider.

10. Refund Policy

We want you to be satisfied with your subscription. If you're not happy with your premium subscription, we offer a refund under the following conditions, subject to applicable consumer protection laws in your country of residence:

  • 14-Day Money-Back Guarantee (Initial Purchase, Technical Issues): If you experience a technical issue within 14 days of your initial subscription purchase that prevents you from using premium features as intended, you may request a refund. Refund requests must include a description of the technical issue encountered. We reserve the right to investigate and verify the reported issue before approving the refund. If required by the laws of your country (for example, certain EU/EEA or UK consumer laws), statutory withdrawal or cooling-off rights may still apply regardless of the reason for the request. Where such laws apply, nothing in these Terms limits those rights.
  • Renewal Refunds: Refunds for subscription renewals are not automatically provided but may be issued at our discretion within 7 days of the renewal date. When deciding whether to grant a renewal refund, we may consider factors such as your usage of the Service during the renewal period and prior refund history. In some jurisdictions, local law may grant you additional rights regarding renewal charges; where this is the case, we will comply with those laws.
  • Refund Deductions: Refunds may be subject to deductions for:
    • Transaction fees and payment processing costs charged by our payment provider (Paddle) that are not returned to us upon refund
    • Applicable taxes and VAT that cannot be recovered or reversed under applicable tax laws
    • Currency conversion fees or other banking/financial institution fees, if applicable

    These deductions reflect costs that we are obligated to pay to third parties and cannot recover when processing your refund. As a result, the final refund amount may be less than the original amount you paid.

    Typical Range: In many cases, the total deductions for such fees and unrecoverable taxes will be within approximately five to seven percent (5–7%) of the original payment amount, but the exact amount can vary depending on your location, currency, payment method, and the policies of our payment partner and your bank.

    Local Law Supremacy: If the laws of your country require that you receive a full refund without such deductions (for example, in certain mandatory cooling-off or withdrawal situations), we will honor those legal requirements and will not deduct amounts that cannot legally be deducted.

  • Digital Service Usage: Because MyCasesHub is a digital service, your right to a refund may be affected once you have accessed or substantially used premium features. In some jurisdictions, your statutory right of withdrawal may expire or be limited once the digital service has begun with your express consent. Where applicable law allows, we may reduce or decline a refund if you have already received significant value from the Service during the refund period.
  • How to Request: To request a refund, please contact us at mchub0617@gmail.com with your account details, purchase information, and reason for the refund. We may ask for additional information to verify your identity and your transaction.
  • Processing Time: Approved refunds will be processed within 5–10 business days to your original payment method. The actual time for the refund to appear on your statement may vary depending on your bank or payment provider.
  • Scope of Refunds: Refunds are only available for subscription fees paid to us through the Service. We do not provide refunds for:
    • Any services already rendered by third parties
    • Any data or insights you have already accessed during the subscription period
    • Any bank, card issuer, or currency conversion fees not charged by us
  • Consumers in Specific Jurisdictions: If you are a consumer residing in a country with mandatory consumer protection laws (such as a member state of the European Union, the United Kingdom, or other jurisdictions with cooling-off rights), you may have additional or different rights to cancel and obtain a refund. In the event of any conflict between these Terms and your mandatory statutory rights, your statutory rights will prevail.

Nothing in this Refund Policy is intended to exclude or limit any rights you may have under applicable consumer protection laws.

11. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution

These Terms and any dispute arising out of or in connection with them or with your use of the Service shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the United States and the laws of the State of California, without regard to its conflict of laws rules, except where the laws of your country of residence require otherwise.

You and we agree to submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the state and federal courts located in California, U.S.A., for the resolution of any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Service, except where applicable laws of your country of residence require that you be allowed to bring claims in your local courts.

If you are a consumer residing outside the United States, mandatory local laws of your country may give you additional rights that cannot be waived by contract, including the right to bring disputes in your local courts or under local dispute resolution procedures. In such cases, this Section 11 does not limit those rights.

12. Changes to These Terms

We reserve the right to modify or replace these Terms at any time. If we make material changes, we will provide notice by posting the new Terms on this page and, where appropriate, by sending you an email or displaying a prominent notice within the Service.

Changes will become effective on the date indicated in the updated Terms. Your continued use of the Service after the revised Terms have become effective will constitute your acceptance of the revised Terms. If you do not agree to the updated Terms, you must stop using the Service.
